There are two types of cabinets/ speaker enclosures ;
Ported Enclosures -f you like your music "boomy" vibrating your cars body panel, you want to consider a vented enclosure.These types of enclosures, when built with the correct materials , measurements & subwoofer tuned to the correct frequency are generally louder than sealed enclosure.🔊
Sealed Enclosures - produce "tight" more accurate bass however they aren't typically as loud as ported enclosures but still enhance the listening experience greatly by providing more defined low frequency passages. The bass can still be felt as if you are on front row in live concert.
There are a couple of factors to consider when choosing the right enclosure for your bass speaker that includes the type of music you listen to, specifications of the subwoofer you choose and the available space to install your bass box.
